Roxanne Riess
I was born and raised in Saskatchewan. I was very athletic growing up, playing a wide variety of school and community sports. This began my love affair with sport and athletics.
Teaching is a passion of mine. My first teaching experience was at the local swimming pool in my hometown. There I taught child, teen, and adult swimming lessons and aquasizes for over ten years. It helped me solidify my decision to become a teacher.
In 1995, I graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Education degree with a Physical Education major. I taught for 12 years splitting my time equally in Southeast Saskatchewan and Southern Alberta.
Once my children were born, the decision to be a stay-at-home mom was an easy one. My family is my heart and soul, but the passion to teach was still there. Becoming a group fitness leader was exactly what I needed - I could combine my love of teaching with my love of fitness.
I am honored to be a part of the new JohnnyB FITT fitness facility and the JohnnyB FITT family of fitness instructors. I look forward to seeing you in my fitness classes. I promise you will have fun while you sweat!
